François Dignard

In 2019, François Dignard joined the multidisciplinary Pyrotech BEI team as a forensic engineer, expert in metallurgy.

Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering (Specialty Metallurgy) obtained in 1994 from École Polytechnique de Montréal.

François has more than 25 years of experience in metallurgy and process, both in the aerospace and industrial sectors. During these years, he gained a solid knowledge of various processes for manufacturing and repairing metal components. He specializes in welding, brazing, heat treatment, surface treatment, metallization, machining and forging. In addition, he has managed numerous mechanical design projects for equipment and tools.

In his spare time, François is an enthusiast of cabinetmaking, he loves being in his workshop and he particularly likes making reproductions of antique furniture.
