In 2011, Etienne Lemire joined the multidisciplinary Pyrotech BEI team as a forensic engineer specializing in the causes of fires, explosions and other failures.
In 2006, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure. He also has a diploma in Electrodynamics from Cégep de Trois-Rivières. In addition, he completed a long training course at Énergir at the end of which he obtained a Certification in class 1 gas appliance techniques (TAG1) in 2019 .
Étienne's main strength is his versatility. In addition to the lessons learned over the course of the 800 investigations carried out at Pyrotech BEI, his past experiences in automation, on international construction sites and in electrotechnical service, allow him to demystify a wide range of files.
In addition, he goes to the end of his analyzes. He finds, reads, filters all the relevant information for a given file, which often allows him to expose the cause of the disaster.
Finally, when he works on a file, he goes on site rapidly, quickly reports his observations, verbally and in writing, which allows the client to make the necessary decisions, and he makes sure keep things simple as much as possible.
Etienne has participated in more than 800 fire investigations.
In his spare time, Etienne practices sports and carries out construction projects.
