Marc-André Ducharme

In 2023, Marc-André Ducharme joined the multidisciplinary Pyrotech BEI 
 team as an expert in the origin and cause of fires.

He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from École de Technologie Supérieure, obtained in 2010, as well as a diploma in electronics technology from Montmorency College.

He worked in aeronautics for 10 years in aircraft engine simulation and avionics systems. His role was the software development of new simulation models, trials and tests in the laboratory or with customers around the world, as well as the debugging of these complex systems.

He worked as an electrical engineering consultant for 1 year and was director of engineering in the field of embedded electronic systems for the automotive, agricultural and home automation sectors.

He has co-invented several products, including an autonomous accessory battery charging system for electric cars, an intermittent windshield wiper control system for agricultural tractors, and a remote gas fireplace control system via an app. cellular.

As part of the Pyrotech BEI team, Marc-André uses his expertise acquired by carrying out investigations into the cause of various types of fires.

In his free time Marc-André carries out multiple construction/repair work as owners of apartment buildings. He also carries out mechanical and electrical repairs and is a fan of automated horticulture. He also has an autonomous aquaponics banana greenhouse and agricultural land with grape vines and trefoil beetles.
