Brandon Rowen joined Pyrotech BEI's multidisciplinary team in 2020 as a mechanical expert. After having obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from Polytechnique Montréal in 2017, he immediately pursued his professional instruction at Queen's University in Ontario and obtained, in 2018, a master's degree in in Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy Engineering.
Previously, Brandon worked two years for an energy service company (ESCO) as a project engineer (design & build). His responsibilities included simulating buildings’ energy consumption, designing energy efficiency measures, optimizing subsidies and projects’ net present value, as well as deploying his solutions in the field. Concepts such as building mechanics, HVAC systems and applicable standards and codes are therefore familiar to him.
Within the Pyrotech BEI team, Brandon is responsible for special projects. Soon, he will also carry out technical investigations aimed at establishing the cause of fires and failures in the fields of general mechanics and building mechanics.
In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors by hiking, running and practicing water sports.
