In November 2019, Érick Abraham joined the Mechanical Engineering Department of Pyrotech BEI. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical Concentration obtained in 1995 and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, option Structures and Materials, obtained in 1997 from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He is also a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
As an engineer-investigator, Érick mainly carries out mandates relating to vehicles and mechanical equipment. The reconstruction of road vehicle collisions, the investigation of fires and the analysis of equipment breakdowns are among his areas of expertise. He has over 21 years of experience in reconstructing vehicle collisions of all kinds and in the operation of various safety devices on board vehicles as well as over 18 years of experience in reading and interpreting information from event data recorders.
He has also participated in coroner's public inquiries, conducted research and expertise projects for Transports Canada, the MTQ, the SAAQ, the Coroner's Office, the Police Ethics Commissioner, the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions and several police forces in the province of Quebec. He has carried out more than 1000 investigations / expertises involving vehicles of all kinds. He is also recognized as an expert witness in court.
In his spare time, Erick takes care of a minor hockey association. He repairs broken objects of daily life to give them a second life, carries out maintenance and repairs on his vehicles, takes care of computer and he likes to ride a bike.
