Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Graduate Diploma in Engineering Management

Bruno Boulanger joined Pyrotech BEI in 2011 as a forensic expert (mechanical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), obtained in 1996, as well as a graduate diploma in engineering management from Université de Sherbrooke, obtained in 2012.

Within the mechanical engineering department, Bruno conducts investigations pertaining to the origin and cause of incidents and failures of mechanical components, mechanical equipment and systems, including fire protection systems, heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems, plumbing and automobiles. He is also recognized as an expert witness in court.

With more than 20 years of experience in engineering, Bruno previously worked in the manufacturing sector as a process, equipment, and project engineer, as well as a production supervisor. He is familiar with industrial systems and automated production equipment, having spent several years working for a highly automated automotive company.

In his spare time, Bruno enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and fishing.
