Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Allyn Gagnon joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic expert (mechanical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS).

Within the mechanical engineering department, Allyn conducts investigations on the origin and cause of fires and failures involving road vehicles and mechanical equipment.

Previously, Allyn worked as a project manager in material resources for a school board in the Montréal area and thereafter as an energy efficiency consultant. He subsequently held positions as a production engineer, draftsman, and designer, overseeing the production launch of mobile panels.

In his spare time, Allyn enjoys spending time with his family and cycling both on the road and trails. A racing enthusiast—whether running, car, bike, motorcycle, skating, or skiing—he also maintains a strong interest in engineering, particularly in aviation, automotive design, and cycling.
