Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

David Aylwin joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic expert (mechanical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Université de Sherbrooke, obtained in 1996.

Within the mechanical engineering department, he conducts investigations on the origin and cause of failures involving road vehicles and industrial equipment. He also investigates the origin and cause of fires in residential and commercial buildings.

David previously worked for nearly ten years in road vehicle design and spent approximately twelve years as a structural analysis specialist in the aerospace sector.

In his spare time, David devotes his free time to his family and enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and playing the piano. Determined and resourceful, he enjoys carrying out repair work and is always ready to help those around him.
