Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Éric Bédard joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic expert (electrical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Université Laval, obtained in 1997.
Within the electrical engineering department, Éric conducts investigations on the origin and cause of fires in residential and commercial buildings.
Previously, he has worked for 22 years in the aeronautics industry, with more than 15 years in the engineering department supporting hydromechanical systems. His main responsibilities involved analyzing and resolving issues related to hydromechanical systems to ensure the functionality and certification of devices.
In parallel, Éric also worked in a company specializing in the development of firefighting tools and is the co-inventor of a revolutionary fire cannon.
In his spare time, Éric enjoys outdoor activities, particularly hiking and mountain biking, which he has practiced for over 30 years. He is also an ambassador for a Canadian company specializing in the design and manufacture of mountain bikes.
