Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

François Dignard joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic expert (metallurgical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical and materials engineering, obtained in 1994 from École Polytechnique de Montréal.

François has over 25 years of experience in metallurgy and processes, both in the aerospace and industrial sectors. Over the years, he has acquired extensive knowledge in various manufacturing and repair processes for metallic components. He is particularly specialized in welding, brazing, heat treatment, surface treatment, metallization, machining, and forging. He has also managed many projects involving the mechanical design of equipment and tooling.

Passionate about woodworking, François devotes part of his free time to working with wood in his workshop, where he carefully crafts reproductions of antique furniture.
