Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Julien-Félix joined Pyrotech BEI in 2014 as a forensic expert (civil engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Université Laval, obtained in 2008.
Within the civil engineering department, Julien-Félix conducts analyses on issues related to water infiltration, drainage systems, soil and foundation stability, plumbing installations, as well as the analysis of compliance with building standards and upgrading of standards. His expertise includes building envelope analyses, hydraulic assessments of site developments and civil structures, analysis of infrastructure damage caused by soil instability, hydrological analyses of climatic events, and qualitative analyses of construction materials.
Previously, he worked in water resource management and in the quality control of construction materials. In the context of these roles, he developed expertise in the modeling and design of drainage systems and hydraulic structures, as well as in the design of plans and specifications for civil infrastructure, the analysis of hydrological events, and the standards and procedures governing the installation of construction materials.
In his spare time, Julien-Félix enjoys rock climbing, running, alpine skiing, and reading about economics and geopolitics.
