Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Yannick Coderre joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic civil engineer. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Université Sherbrooke, with a specialization in structures, obtained in 1997, as well as a master’s degree in structural steel from Université Laval, obtained in 2003.
In the Civil Engineering Department, Yannick investigates structural problems in buildings, building envelopes, land, construction sites, structural securing of disaster areas, and the preparation of repair plans or temporary supports for damaged structures.
Yannick has nearly 20 years of experience in structural steel framing. His work included the design of steel frames, shallow reinforced concrete foundations, and bolted and welded assemblies, as well as providing technical support for the preparation of shop drawings for structural steel fabrication. He has also been involved in small- to large-scale private and public projects across the commercial, industrial, institutional, and civil protection sectors.
In his spare time, Yannick enjoys swimming and mountain hiking, and has a keen interest in cooking.
