Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s Degree in Business Administration

Gaëtan Beaumont joined Pyrotech BEI in 2003 as a forensic expert (electrical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), obtained in 1988, and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) obtained in 2018.

Director of the information technology (IT) and technical services department, Gaëtan also conducts investigations on the origin and cause of electrical failures and fires occurring in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. With more than 29 years of experience as an electrical engineer, he is recognized as an expert witness in court.

Gaëtan has previously worked in the pulp and paper industry, process automation, and passenger rail transportation. His responsibilities mainly included managing projects within the engineering and customer service departments.

In his spare time, Gaëtan has a keen interest in technology and family travel, and he is passionate about woodworking and ornithology.
