Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Michael Rowen is the founder and president of Pyrotech BEI. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science in electrical engineering, obtained in 1983 from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Since 1983, Michael has conducted investigations pertaining to the origin and cause of fires, explosions, electrical failures, as well as failures of heating and combustion equipment. To this day, he has completed more than 2,500 investigations on industrial, commercial, and residential scenes. He acts as an expert for several manufacturing companies and has carried out investigations in nine Canadian provinces, two territories, and several American States. Michael also performs compliance reviews of electrical installations and is recognized as an expert witness in court.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys skiing, both on downhill slopes and in slalom courses on Lake Saint-François.
