Master’s Degree in Applied Sustainability
Brandon Rowen joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic expert in electrical and mechanical engineering. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from École Polytechnique de Montréal and a master’s degree in applied sustainability at Queen’s University in Ontario.
In addition to his role as Vice President of Operations, Brandon conducts investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires. He also assesses the efficiency or causes of failures of HVAC systems.
Brandon has worked in the field of building energy efficiency as a project engineer (design and construction). His responsibilities included energy simulations, the design of efficiency measures, the optimization of project subsidies and financial parameters, as well as project implementation. Concepts such as building mechanics, HVAC systems, and applicable standards are therefore familiar to him.
In his spare time, Brandon enjoys hiking, running and practicing water sports.
