Bachelor’s Degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering

Laurent Garnier joined Pyrotech BEI as a forensic expert (metallurgical engineer). A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Université Laval.

Laurent has eight years of experience in research and development within the defense sector. His work included failure analysis of products in development and coordination of the metallurgy laboratory. He has also acted as a project manager and advisor on files related to materials and metallurgy and supported the design and production teams in optimizing components manufactured by the company.

In his spare time, Laurent enjoys learning and exploring new experiences. His interests include hands-on projects, wilderness camping, kayaking, and winter sports such as alpine skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking.
