Ricardo D’Angelo joined Pyrotech BEI’s multidisciplinary team in 2025 as an expert in fire origin and cause analysis. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from McMaster University in 2011, then continued his professional training at the Grenoble Institute of Technology in France, where he obtained a master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2012. He later studied at Pierre and Marie Curie University in France, earning a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry in 2015.
He previously held leadership positions in engineering and research and development for companies in the medical and construction sectors. He also worked as a materials engineering consultant specializing in corrosion-related issues.
At Pyrotech BEI, Ricardo leverages his expertise to conduct investigations into fire causes. Thanks to his academic background and diverse professional experience, he has developed a methodical and scientific approach that enables him to carry out complex technical analyses.
In his free time, Ricardo enjoys family travel, reading, and hiking. He is also passionate about woodworking and photography.
